As I sit here making this dreary weather weekend a Harry Potter movie marathon weekend, it was brought to my attention that Harry Potter is coming to Broadway in New York City. If you are a diehard Harry Potter fan like me, this should bring great joy to your “Muggle Born” heart!
It was announced on May 4 that on Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will make its debut in the United States on April 22, 2018. This in, my opinion, is too long to wait! Its world debut was in July 2016 at the Palace Theater located in London. If you can’t wait for it to debut on Broadway and are in London, it is still playing on stage. Once Broadway ticket sales are announced, we will release that information.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the 8th book in the series and takes place 19 years after the Deathly Hallows book. Harry Potter is an adult, works for the Ministry of Magic, and has three children with Ginny Potter (Weasley). Their oldest son Albus Potter is struggling to uphold the family name and quite frankly doesn’t feel like he should. A lot of interesting stuff begins to happen within the World of Magic and Hogwarts. Who else out there is anxiously waiting to see this? Have you read the novelization of the play?
