When you hear the word “battosai”, the first name to come to mind is none other than Mr. Kenshin Himura. If you are unfamiliar with the series, it is manga turned into a 95-episode anime (other adaptations have been made as well) about a legendary assassin-samurai trying to change his ways for good and not meddle in violence as he did prior. Unfortunately for Himura, he’s constantly placed in predicaments that often times question his ability to change for the good that he strives for. It’s gone down as one of the greatest mangas/animes ever created.
Global Shounen Jump’s VP, Hisashi Sasaki, sat down with Viz Media to discuss some of the details about the new Rurouni Kenshin manga that is set to release this Spring. Sasaki reveals in the video below that the new arc with have 5 acts and that Kenshin will be the main protagonist. He also states that both new and old fans alike will enjoy this new arc even if they have not had the privilege of reading or watching the series. At this time it’s still not yet confirmed if this arc will also be adapted into an anime series as well; here’s to wishful thinking!
All I can say is…I. Can’t. Wait.
